Teaching Diversity Through Art

  Art is a powerful tool for fostering diversity and inclusion. It allows people to express their unique identities while also appreciating the perspectives of others. Through paintings, music, dance, theater, and literature, individuals from different backgrounds can share their stories, traditions, and struggles, creating a deeper understanding of diverse cultures. One way art promotes diversity is by showcasing different perspectives. When we see artworks from various cultures, we gain insight into the values and traditions of others. For example, Indigenous art highlights ancestral wisdom, while African American music reflects resilience and history. By engaging with such works, we develop empathy and appreciation for different backgrounds. Art also encourages conversations about social issues, including race, gender, and identity. What would you do if that happened to you?

  What would you do if that happened to you? Τhe schools were divided into pairs. One school made a sentence and the other drew that sentence. For example: Someone in your class forgot their lunch. What could you do? Or Someone accidentally spills their juice on the table. what would you do?  Storytelling and Role playing here

A Bridge Of Friendship

  A Bridge Of Friendship Let’s create bridges of friendship!  Our schools in pairs worked together in a collaborative painting project and created bridges of friendship by drawing bridges in any way they wish and wrote the words that support a friendship.  You can see our collaborative activity  here

Whαt is Empathy ;

  Empathy: What is this? Empathy is being able to know how someone else is feeling, even when you aren't in the same situation. Sometimes, in more simple words, we call empathy being able to "put yourself in someone's shoes" and see things from their view. Why is empathy important? Empathy is the first step in having positive relationships because it helps us understand and relate to others.

Self-esteem activities   Self-esteem in children is a crucial measure of self-worth, significantly impacting their resilience, independence, and overall psychological well-being.  Self-esteem has far-reaching impacts on all areas of life. A child's self-esteem correlates with their future school performance, relationship quality, and ability to resist peer pressure.  This month we organized activities  that can help children to explore and practice social and emotional skills, express themselves, build self-assuredness, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves and others.   Our work:

Calendar for the New Year 2025

In January mr Can  prepared the mission for us! Let's create a calendar with positive affirmation for our children. Each month of the year will include a positive statement and the students of each  school who choose it,  drew something corresponding to that positive statement.   With love, care, and positive statements, we prepared our calendar for 2025. Our calendar
