What is Kindness?

In December, our project’s mascot, mr Can, put on its festive outfit and, with a big smile, announced our activities for the month. Christmas was approaching – days filled with Joy, Love, and Kindness! And somewhere between the children’s laughter, the preparations, the songs, and the sweets, a question was born:

What is kindness, really?

It’s not just a word. It’s a way of life.
Kindness is smiling at a stranger, sharing your snack with a friend who forgot theirs, saying “thank you” with sincerity, helping someone without being asked. It’s the small, everyday miracles that make the world around us a little brighter.

Kindeness is...
-Το help an elderly person carry their groceries from the supermarket.
-To give your friend something that is on a high shelf.
-To donate your toys that you no longer play with
-Make sure to invite a new student to the group so that they don't feel lonely

- Βeing nice to our family and friends,
-Hugging and smiling at small children,

-Celebrating special days of our loved ones,

-Being respectful to people.

-Speak nicely and politely
- Take care of someone when they are sick
-Offer food to anyone who is hungry

...and so many others ideas!!!

The children drew their ideas about what kindness is:

Teachers and students from Italy, Poland, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Romania and Spain take part in this project that begins in September 2024 and ends in May 2025. Our specific goals are to: ●      Cultivate the child's ability to manage his stress and deal with coping strategies for various problems. ●      To help form relationships, i.e. the child's ability to create healthy interpersonal relationships. ●      To develop skills that lead to finding solutions. ●      To understand self-sufficiency, i.e. the child's ability to know his ...

Let's get to know each other

Our collaborative project began with the introduction among the partners. The participating schools marked their location on Google Maps, and the educators introduced themselves by sharing a few things about their interests and the city where their school is located. The students introduced themselves with great enthusiasm using various methods, whether through photos, videos with avatars, or their drawings.
